Being left behind to hold the fort every time the world needs saving, sucks.

Being a witch blood means access to magic, but I can barely light a candle with my powers. I can bake the perfect cinnamon roll though, and the patrons of Piccadilly’s favourite bakery thank me for it.

Still, it would be nice to be the one doing the saving now and then.

One attack of flu germs, one delirious episode later and I’m bound to a seductive, arrogant djinn who needs help to track down the monsters hunting his people.

With his power coursing through my veins, I’m not so helpless anymore.

Here’s to hoping this partnership won’t be such a bad thing.
